This recipe is going to the dogs, literally! These three ingredient cookies are a puppy favorite in our house, and I love that you can make them in different shapes for the seasons! Your four legged friends will be thanking you and begging for more!
For this recipe you will need:
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/2 cup all natural peanut butter
2 cups whole wheat flour
Your favorite cookie cutters
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl combine pumpkin and peanut butter until thoroughly combined. Slowly mix in flour until a dough is formed. (you may need a little more flour, you may need a little less)
Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and begin spreading out dough with a rolling pin until dough is about 1/4 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes. (I used dog bone cookie cutters Trevor found on Amazon. You can get them here ) Place cookies on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. These cookies will not be crunchy, so if they still look a little soft that is okay!
Allow to cool before treating your pup! Store in an air tight container for best results!
